Client Customer Service Representative (Direct Hire/First Shift)

Position Summary

The Client Customer Service Representative provides support by coordinating the workflow of the product, documenting changes in inventory and interacting with customer and other departments in a prompt, courteous and effective manner.

Position Type: Full-Time / 1st Shift

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides spot and volume quotes and other special quotes or booking of shipments for clients
  • Expedites less-than-truckload shipments for international, Canada, and Mexico
  • Acts as primary point of contact for problem resolution for internal and external customers
  • Provides input for standard operating procedures as needed or requested
  • Acts as back up for shipments and inbound workflow.
  • Provides training and access for new employees as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent, college experience a plus

Experience

• 1+ year of previous work experience in warehouse management, shipping, or logistics
• 1+ year working with WMS or inventory control system

Knowledge

• Intermediate level of knowledge of MS Word and Outlook
• Intermediate level of knowledge of database management
• Advanced level of knowledge of Excel
• General knowledge of ISO Quality and Environmental Requirements

• Excellent skills in multitasking, prioritizing, processing information quickly, and organization
• Excellent skills at handling confidential information
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent professional phone skills and email communication skills
• Good data entry
• Basic skills in written communication
